Can I recover an expired upload?
No. Once the retention timer fires, the file is removed from storage for good. Re-upload it from your local copy.
We hold your media just long enough to schedule, render, and publish, then hand it to Instagram and TikTok and clear our copy.
Effective 2026-05-19
Every photo, video, and poster frame you upload lands in our storage, scoped to your workspace, and counts toward your plan's cap.
Published posts: the original upload is removed 3 days after publishing. Drafts: removed 30 days after creation if you never schedule them. Scheduled posts: we keep the media until the post publishes, then start the 3-day timer. We never touch the copy on Instagram or TikTok.
Instagram and TikTok keep their own copy of every Reel, carousel, story, and video. Deleting ours never removes the post there.
Every account starts on a 7-day paid trial: 5 GB storage on Starter, 25 GB on Studio, shared by photos, video, and your media library.
Move from Starter to Studio in settings → billing: 5 GB becomes 25 GB, video minutes 5 to 25. Retention frees space as posts publish.
Download the original before the 3-day timer expires. Once it fires, the bytes are gone for good; re-uploading is the only way back.
No. Once the retention timer fires, the file is removed from storage for good. Re-upload it from your local copy.
No. It starts at the first successful publish and keeps running even if you edit the caption or schedule a re-publish.
Brand-library photos never auto-erase; they stay until you delete them. Only a post's own upload follows the retention timer.
Yes. Open the media library and download the original. Keep a local copy of anything hard to re-create; the 3-day timer is not negotiable.
Move to Studio for more storage and more video minutes each month.
